The Rider Accessibility+ Program allows as many people as possible to experience the joy of riding our vehicles, both Helbiz and Skip. This discount is by application only and verification is specific to each location.
The program applies to three different cities:
Arlington & Alexandria, VA
In Arlington and Alexandria, Helbiz|Skip provides free unlimited trips under 30 minutes for those who qualify for state or federal assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, or a discounted utility bill.
The Rider Accessibility+ Program in Arlington and Alexandria requires proof of membership of one of the following:
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP)
- Discounted Utility Bill
- Medicaid
Washington, D.C.
In the District of Columbia, the Rider Accessibility+ Program plan waives any applicable vehicle deposit and offers unlimited trips under 30 minutes to any customer with an income level at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Requires proof of membership of one of the following:
- DCHA’s Housing Choice Voucher Program
- DC’s Healthcare Alliance Program
- Residential Aid Discount (RAD) by Pepco
- Residential Essential Service (RES) Program by Washington Gas
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP)

Rides&Costs
All users once approved for the Rider Accessibility Program, have unlimited free rides up to 30 minutes every day for the entire year.
If you continue to ride, you will be charged at standard rates per minute, depending on the city in which you use our service. The unlock fee is free.
Please note: Once your ride is terminated, you will have to wait 20 minutes to start another free ride (up to 30 minutes free).
